Fortinet Certified Professional Public Cloud Security (FCPPCS)

The FCP in Public Cloud Security certifications validates your ability to secure cloud applications by deploying, managing, and monitoring Fortinet public cloud products. This curriculum will cover the day-to-day tasks related to Fortinet public cloud devices and VMs.

We recommend this certification for cybersecurity professionals who require the expertise needed to deploy, manage, and analyze Fortinet public security devices and VMs.

Recommended training for this certification

You must successfully pass one core exam and one elective exam.

Core exam:

  • Fortinet NSE 6–Securing AWS with Fortinet Cloud Security
  • Fortinet NSE 6–Securing Azure with Fortinet Cloud Security

Elective exams:

  • Fortinet NSE 4–FortiOS (FortiGate Security and FortiGate Infrastructure)
  • Fortinet NSE 6–FortiMail
  • Fortinet NSE 6–FortiWeb

You will receive a digital exam badge each time you pass any version of the above exams. You will also receive a digital certification badge after you have achieved the certification.

To prepare for the certification exams, we recommend that you take the associated NSE courses. The courses are optional.

Becoming a FCP on October 1, 2023: Professionals will receive this certification on October 1, 2023, if they have passed one core exam (any version) and one elective exam (any version) under the following conditions:

  • You passed one or both exams on or after October 1, 2021.
  • You passed one exam no more than two years before the other exam.

The expiration date of the certification received under these conditions will be two years after you pass the second exam.

Exams

  • Available worldwide at: Pearson VUE test centers and OnVUE
  • Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice and multiple select
  • Time required between attempts: 15 days
  • Transcript and certificate: Your Fortinet Training Institute transcript is updated within five business days after you pass the exam. After that, you will be able to download a printable certificate from the Fortinet Training Institute.

Recertification

  • If your FCP in Public Cloud Security certification has expired, you must pass one core exam and one elective exam within two years of difference to earn active status.
  • If your FCP in Public Cloud Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to two years from the date you complete one of the following requirements:
    • Passing one core exam and one elective exams within two years of difference.
    • Passing the core exam for the FCSS in Public Cloud Security certification.
  • If your FCP in Public Cloud Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
  • Passing any of the FCP exams recertifies your FCF and FCA certifications if they are still active.
