Prerequisites
This two day course teaches students advanced administration for SUSE Enterprise Storage. The course assumes that students have a basic understanding of Ceph storage, the RADOS cluster and gateways.
Course Objectives
In this course, attendees will learn the following::
- Understand how to shutdown a cluster
- Use Deepsea to deploy BlueStore in single and multiple device configurations
- Plan, define and implement CRUSH Maps and CRUSH Map Rules
- Add Storage capacity using Deepsea to add additional nodes and OSDs
- Configure authentication using cephx and manage user capabilities
- Plan High Availability for SES components
- Manage the Admin node
